by Rising Management September 8, 2026

The Highstool Prophets, one of the most in-demand folk bands in Ireland, are getting ready to take their biggest show on the road with the announcement of their brand new ‘This Is The Life’ tour as they travel Ireland, the UK, Europe, the USA, Canada and Australia with their biggest and most ambitious run of headline shows to date.

From September 2026 to May 2027, the band will perform in venues across Ireland with the heart of the tour being the song that started it all. The Highstool Prophets took Amy Macdonald’s ‘This Is The Life’ and made it unmistakably their own, transforming the smash hit with their unique blend of Irish folk, trad influences and their infectious live energy. The result has become a phenomenon in its own right after surpassing an incredible 50 million streams and counting, helping introduce the band to new fans around the world.

Now the band are bringing that success directly to their fans with the ‘This Is The Life’ Tour where fans can expect huge choruses, foot stomping favourites, modern folk anthems and all the high-energy live moments The Highstool Prophets have become renowned for.

According to Kevin Meehan, singer and guitar player of The Highstool Prophets, ‘This Is The Life’ represents more than just a song to the band. “It has become an anthem for our fans, so we really wanted a special way to celebrate 50 million streams! The response over the last few years has been something we could only have ever dreamt of when we first started playing in bars in Ireland. Now we’re headlining festivals and touring across the world and this is our most exciting chapter in the band yet! We’re really looking forward to it.”

With a catalogue that has amassed millions of streams, sold-out shows, national television appearances and an ever growing fanbase, The Highstool Prophets  ‘This Is The Life’ Tour is set to be a full live celebration of the music that has made the band one of Ireland’s fastest rising folk acts.

THE HIGHSTOOL PROPHETS – ‘THIS IS THE LIFE’ TOUR will visit venues across Ireland from September 2026 to May 2027.
